Here It Comes
June 11, 2015

Hello Musicland! So it begins. I will be leaving for Omaha, NE. this week to kick off the summers' travels. Looking forward to seeing old friends and maybe making some new ones.  I'll be playing at The White House Bar on June 19th with special guest...your dad and mine...well, mostly mine...Jonathan Wilhoft!!! Come hang out, drink up, and sing along. Reminisce about the grand old days of yore. This show has a little extra going for it due to the fact that I released a CD since the last time I came around so there will be CDs and swag and good times to be had by all.

Next on the list is Pensacola, FL then Birmingham, AL then Memphis, TN So if you live in any of these places tell your friends. Heck tell complete strangers! More dates to follow so stay tuned!

Sing on!

TOUR - Spreading The Love
February, 23 2015

Alright Musicland, the time has come...tour time. I'm booking tour dates all over the world and I need your help. I will be in Germany, the U.K., Ireland, and other random parts of western Europe this fall.

There is a basic framework and several dates booked already but I'm looking to fill in the holes. Do you know anyone who plays music, books music, likes to listen to music, owns a club/bar, or wants to host a house concert somewhere in the vicinity of Western/Central Europe? If you answered YES to any of these questions let me know. Shoot me a message!!!

Thanks so much!
Together we can make this happen!

Sing on,
Aaron

P.S. - U.S. tour dates coming

Hello Musicland! The time has come...we did it!!! We are on iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, and a dozen other music outlets. "Everything Together" Is officially available in every way possible to us. Thank you to so many for your hard work and dedication to this amazing project. Your support is truly humbling.

Onward And Upward!!!
November 25, 2014
Hello Musicland! Well, the release party went off better than anyone could have expected. Thanks to so many for braving Lake Michigan in October. What an amazing time spent singing, dancing, and sailing with such fantastic people. Magic!!!

"Everything Together" is currently available on cdbaby.com and will be making it's way to iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, and Pandora in the next few weeks so make sure and get your copy or digital download soon. You wouldn't want to ruin Christmas, just imagine, tiny tots with their eyes full of tears, and all because the gift of original music is conspicuously missing from their stockings...just saying.

So, the big question is "What's next?" Well, we've already been in the studio working on some tracks for the next release, which is pretty exciting, but there's something even bigger on the way...a U.S. and European Tour!!! The calendar is already being peppered with shows and opportunities for mayhem all over the country and beyond. That's right...Aaron Wilhoft playing music in your hometown! We'll be updating the calendar this week with the first of next years' shows so make sure to stay tuned...it's gonna be a heck of a ride.  #wewilhoftyou, #beapartatthestart

Another (and perpetual) thank you to Sarah Neczwid at Eighth and Grace recording for her expertise, patience, and an overwhelming kindness from such a caliber of person. Truly...this project would never have made it off the ground without her.

______________________________________________________________________________________
Hello Musicland! Well, I'm proud to say the past few months have been unbelievably productive. We took the music to the studio and one by one the songs are coming your way! The first incarnation comes in the form of a five-song EP and it's almost finished. I'm so happy and blessed to have had so many talented and amazingly generous people walking and working through this project with me. Big thank you to Sarah Sydow (soon to be Neczwid) as drums, percussion and general recording guru; Bryan Grady (soon to be papa-bear) rocking the bass; Joe Lopez and Joe Taylor strumming the guitar and tickling the ivories (respectively); and Rebecca Huber, Meghan Hill, and Mickey T. Craft the studio swamis.

So here's the thing...we are looking at October 10th as a release date and Tall Ship Windy as a venue for the release party. So keep checking back for updates. There may even be a little pre-release taster ready for download before the party.
Excited and grateful...more to follow...
(P.S. trying to recover the rest of the posts from 2014...should be up this week)

Merry Christmas & HAPPY NEW YEAR
!!!
December 20, 2013
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Hello Musicland!!! It's been a big year and I'm so grateful to so many of you for coming along for the ride. Lots of new music and new opportunities both here in Chi-town and abroad. Taking the music to Brazil was like a dream! A very heart felt thank you to everyone who hosted, listened, laughed and shared in Recife, Itamaraca, Brasilia (especially Clube Do Choro), and Rio de Janeiro. A truly life-changing experience and I can't wait to come back.

Here on the homefront this year has brought so many blessings! There are new songs making their way into the set lists and new musical collaborations in the works (more on collaborations to come soon). Lots of new shows, fans, and friends. Thanks so much to Sen. Tony Munoz (Illinois State Senator and veterans' advocate) and Elba Aranda-Suh from the National Latino Education Institute for letting me be a part of your messages this year. It was an honor to see and be a part of the work you do in our community.

In addition to the ever-growing music family we have a new and exciting addition to the Wilhoft family with Elvis the dog.

I can't wait to see and share what the new year brings and I'm kicking it all off with my 4th annual New Years Bash!!! New Year's Eve 10:00p.m. at Celtic Crossings Pub (751 N. Clark St) Come party with me at the best real party downtown. NO disco ball, NO cover, NO bull***t !!!

Good drinks, good people, good music!!! See you there!!!

Sail Away - Sponsored by Koval Distillery & Tall Ship Windy
June 5, 2013
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Hello Music land! Just wanted to tell you about a little something special this weekend. I will be playing a concert in conjunction with Koval Distillery . I've had the pleasure of touring their facility and I have to be honest, this local, family-run distillery produces some of my favorite whiskey ever! Seriously good stuff including (my favorite) their white whiskey selection which they make from a 100% mash of some really unique grains like millet and spelt!! A true original made right here in Chicago! Why, you may ask am i giving you so much info about this Chicago treasure? Koval will be offering a tasting during the concert!!!

Saturday, June 8th 7:30 - 9:30 aboard Tall Ship Windy on Navy Pier. That's right, just when you thought it wouldn't get any cooler, this will all take place on the deck of a tall ship (a four-masted schooner to be exact.) We Will depart at 7:30 and sail on beautiful Lake Michigan. I'll be singing, you'll be drinking as the sun sets behind the city skyline...so, that doesn't suck.

Get your tickets at tallshipwindy.com or at the box office on Navy Pier!
Seriously, this is one of the coolest things that has ever happened in the history of things happening...come hang out!!

WILHOFTS IN STEREO!!!

So, after a great trip in Brazil I am BACK in Chicago with a musical vengance...and a musical father...
This FRIDAY & SATURDAY at 10:00p.m. I will be playing at CELTIC CROSSING with...you guessed it...JONATHAN WILHOFT (my dad). If you haven't seen him play, you haven't lived.
If you you have seen ME play...same show but on an intense regimen of steroids...think Canseco, Bonds, Stallone! Plus he brought his horn!!!

Come hang out, drink along, sing along, and have a great time
(caution - it might blow your head off)

Viva Brazil!!!

Saint Patrick's Day
March 7, 2013

Hello music land! Just an update...we're doing things a little differently this year. I will not be playing my regularly scheduled Friday/Saturday shows at Celtic Crossings Pub on the weekend of St. Patrick's day. I will, however, be playing that Saturday (March 16th) at Three Counties Irish Pub (5856 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL). This is a new venue for me so come on down and have a drink...dance a jig... and get your Irish on! (Show is from 4:00 - 8:00)

Thank you for your support!

A big hello to everyone out there in music land! Well, as promised, here's the new website!
I went back to the drawing board with all of your great suggestions (and a small selection of
not-so-great ones) and here it is. There's a lot of new things happening...so much to tell.

The new album is coming along nicely (if not a little behind schedule) and it seems as though the "new album" has turned into the new albums. I'll keep you posted on the progress and new developments but it looks like at least one summer release. In the meantime keep checking the website for new shows because they are springing up every week. Every day I'm getting closer to a fully booked mid-west tour to accompany the new release. The path right now includes Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Minnesota, Ohio, and Tennessee. As you may have guessed, I love playing shows so if you'd like to see more and you live in one of the places I mentioned, feel free to write to me with your ideas and suggestions for new places to play.

Until then come on down and sing along, dance along, and drink along with me each and every Friday and every other Saturday at Celtic Crossings Irish Pub right here in downtown Chicago.
See you there!
